"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

12 oz. Cream Cheese, softened

¼ C. Pesto
1 Pkg. (1 lb.) Puff Pastry Thawed enough to roll out but still very cold

Directions:
In food processor, combine cream cheese and Parmesan. Add the green onions and process until finely minced. Add the pesto and blend again until mixed.

Take one sheet of puff pastry and roll out on a floured surface to a 10" x 16'' rectangle. Spread ½ the mixture onto the pastry covering it completely. Roll lengthwise like a jellyroll log - it should b about 1¼ inches in diameter. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and freeze. Repeat with 2nd sheet of puff pastry and remainder of the mixture.

Remove from freezer 15 minutes before baking. Place oven rack on upper ⅓ of oven and preheat to 375 º. Slice logs into rounds ¼ inch thick. You should get about 50 rounds per log. Place on a baking sheet about 1½ inches apart. Bake 10 - 13 minutes until lightly browned.

These logs are great to have stored in the freezer. A lifesaver for last minute entertaining.
