3 lbs beef soup bones
2 lbs beef shank
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
3 carrots, chopped
4 celery ribs, chopped
1 medium onion, cut into chunks
2 whole garlic cloves
Salt, pepper, turmeric, ginger, cayenne and cumin to taste

* Add ingredients to a slow cooker with enough filtered water to cover by 1 inch.

* Cook on low 12 hours; occasionally add more water to keep ingredients covered. Cool.

* Strain into containers, reserving meat for another use. Store in fridge up to 5 days or freezer.
