Ingredients:  
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
4 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped dates
1 egg
1 cup chopped mixed nuts
1 1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and cut in butter. Add sugar, dates and nuts. Beat egg - add milk and flour. Put in loaf pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes or until done.
