4 qts sweet cider
2 1/2 qts quartered tart apples
2 c sugar
Spices, if desired; cinnamon, cloves, ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Boil cider until it is reduced to 2 qts. Add peeled, quartered apples and cook until very tender. Put through colander, add sugar and spices and cook until thick stirring to prevent burning. Pour into clean hot jars and seal.
