2 c flour
2 tsp Jewel Baking Powder
2 tbs shortening
1 tsp salt
3/4 c liquid (milk or water)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir dry ingredients. Rub in shortening with a fork. If very short biscuits are preferred add 2 additional tablespoons shortening. Add liquid slowly until dough is in a soft ball. Turn out on a floured board. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut and bake in a hot oven (450º) for 15 min.
