4 thinly slice peaches
1 c water
1 c sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp shortening
2 Tbsp milk
1 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease 9 x 13 baking pan. In a saucepan combine first three ingredients. Bring to a boil stirring and keep hot. Meanwhile with a spoon, beat eggs, sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add milk, stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Spread batter in baking dish. Pour hot peaches over batter. Bake 25-30 minutes or until browned.

Good served hot with vanilla ice cream!
