1½ cups ketchup
2 cups light-bodied American beer
¼ cup steak sauce
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. hot sauce
½ tsp. liquid smoke
6-8 pork steaks
Freshly ground black pepper

Step 1
Whisk together the first 9 ingredients in a large bowl. Transfer sauce to a large disposable aluminum pan and set aside.
Step 2
Season pork steaks to taste with black pepper and grill until well-browned, 6-7 minutes a side. Transfer steaks to pan with sauce and turn to coat. Cover pan with foil and place back on grill. Cook steaks indirect about 90 minutes, until tender. Check after an hour to see if sauce looks too thick; if so add a little water.
Step 3
Carefully remove pan from grill. Remove steaks to serving platter. Skim excess fat from sauce and serve on the side.
