3 medium acorn squash
3 Tbs. margarine
⅓ cup dark corn syrup
tsp. salt
tsp. ground nutmeg
⅛ tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash squash. Cut in half and scoop out seeds and fiber. Pour water into large kettle to a depth of 1 inches. Add squash, cover and steam 20 minutes or just until tender. Remove, drain and arrange cut side up in a shallow baking dish. Spread cut surface of each half with about Tbs. margarine. Top with corn syrup, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until squash is lightly browned. Makes 6 servings.
