1 sweet onion
½ head cabbage
¼ lb fat back
2 packages of sauerkraut
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cabbage finely sliced and par boil and drain
Cube and melt fat back. Remove cubes
Sauté sliced onion in fat back
Pour fat back onion mixture over cabbage
Run hot water over packages of sauerkraut
Add fat back, onion, cabbage mixture in kraut

Bake 1 hour 325º

Recipe from my mother in law, just add kielbasa when baking. Also works well in a crock pot.
