3 pounds purple plums, halved and pitted (7 cups)
4 cups sugar
1 quart gin

Directions:
Directions:
In gallon Jar, combine plums, sugar and gin. Cover. Invert jar daily until sugar is dissolved (about 4 days)

Place in cool dark place for 2 months.

Strain through cheese cloth before serving.

Makes 2 quarts.
