2 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Karo white syrup
1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract (I use 3 tsp)
2 cups pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first four ingredients in pan and cook to softball stage (240º). Remove from heat. Add butter and beat by hand. When butter is melted, add vanilla. Continue to beat until mixture thickens enough to place on wax or parchment paper. Add 2 cups of pecans. Drop candy by tablespoons on the parchment paper. I drop candy into 3½ inch egg rings to make them round.

Variations:
Chocolate pralines: add a tablespoon of cocoa - no vanilla.
Chocolate Bourbon pralines: cocoa and 3 tbsp of bourbon.
Bourbon pralines: add 3 tbsp of bourbon - no vanilla.
Chocolate Coconut: add coconut and cocoa.
