1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
2 eggs - beaten
1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp each nutmeg, ground ginger and allspice*
8 tbsp. butter - divided
1/2 cup flour
4 cups beef stock

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl add mild to the bread crumbs and mix until milk is absorbed. If too dry, add more milk. DO NOT let set long, put it in the ground beef and pork immediately. Add the spices and mix together until incorporated.

Form into 2" balls. In a large dutch oven melt 4 tbsp of butter, lightly brown the meatballs on all sides. You will probably do this is batches, place browned meatballs on a plate until all are browned.

After taking the meatballs out of the dutch oven, add the remaining butter, Stir in the flour to make a roux, cook 2 minutes. Slowly add the beef stock stirring until smooth. Put the meatballs back in the liquid and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium and cook for 30-40 minutes. Once the desired consistancy is reached, add the sour cream. After tasting adjust salt and pepper if needed.

Serve over smashed potatoes or swedish potatoes. (Recipe for both included)
