Directions:Quick cook/microwave: boil water and while you’re waiting for the kettle, chop up about half of the apple into bite size pieces. Place them in a microwave safe bowl. Once the water has boiled, pour water over the apples (approximately the amount required by the oatmeal package). Microwave the apples for 1 minute to boil them and allow them to soften. Eat the other half of the apple while you wait for your pie fruit to soften. Once finished, remove from the microwave and pierce with a fork to test for tenderness. If done, pour over the oatmeal and mix it in with the apples. Top with seeds, nuts, honey (for sweetness), cinnamon, and nutmeg. Enjoy!
Stovetop: chop up the apples into bite size pieces. You can boil the apples separately from the stovetop oats, or you can simply add them to the oats as they cook (cooking them separately just means you can put them on top so they look pretty). Cook the oats as per box instructions Once your oats are prepared, top them with seeds, nuts, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg and enjoy |
