Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 very ripe banana (for sweetness), fresh or frozen
1 cup of oats (or whatever is on the oatmeal box for one serving)
2 tbsp. chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
2 tsps. protein/fats seed mix (optional and to taste)
- I mix about ¼ cup each of chia, flax, and pumpkin seeds in to give the breakfast a bit of a boost

Directions:
Directions:
Instant or quick cook oatmeal: boil water in a kettle. In the meantime, measure out oatmeal, seeds, and nuts into a bowl. When I’m feeling indulgent I like to slice the bananas on top of the oatmeal and make it look pretty, but otherwise just add it to the bowl whole and pour the boiling water over it (per box instructions, or a guestimate). As water sinks in, mash up the banana to mix it in so that the oatmeal absorbs the sweetness! This is also delicious with strawberries or other fruits

Stovetop: Cook oatmeal as per box instructions, and mix in the banana as you cook. It will disintegrate into the liquid giving a deliciously sweet flavor. Serve and top with seeds and/or nuts.

Personal Notes:
This is literally my favorite breakfast food. It’s so sweet and I feel fancy every time I make it even though it’s not really fancy and so easy.
