1 cake yeast
¼ cup warm water
3 Tbsp. melted butter
½ cup warm buttermilk
⅓ cup sugar
1 ½ tsp. salt
2 eggs
3 cups flour

¼ cup butter

Brown sugar mixture:
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
¾ cup currants
⅓ cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 1 cake yeast in ¼ cup warm water. Add 3 Tbsp. melted butter, ½ cup warm buttermilk, ⅓ cup sugar, 1 ½ tsp. salt, 2 eggs and 3 cups flour. Mix and let rise an hour or so.

Then roll out and cover with ¼ cup butter. Mix together ⅓ cup brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, ¾ cup currants and ⅓ cup chopped nuts. (Steam the currants first.)

Put this mixture over the top of the butter. Roll up like cinnamon rolls and cut in slices. Put in a greased pan an inch or so apart and let rise.

Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.
