6-7 Granny Smith Apples
3/4 to 1 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
2-4 tbsp. Butter
Pastry for 2 -crust 9 inch pie

Directions:
Directions:
Pare apple and slice thin.Have crust in pie tin and place a layer of apples. sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over layer and a few pats of butter. Repeat layers and finish with a dash of nutmeg. Adjust top crust.Can sprinkle with sugar for sparkle. Poke holes in crust to ventilate. Bake in 400 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve warm with Vanilla ice cream or whipping cream
