Chicken Marsala Recipe

4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
4 oz honey ham
4 oz havarti cheese
1 large onion sliced
1 large jar mushrooms ( reserve liquid)
2 tbsp butter
1 cup chicken broth
1/4cup Marsala wine
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp sugar (optional)
Salt/ pepper

Directions:
Pound chicken to 1/2” thickness and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large frying pan and begin frying chicken until golden brown. Chicken should be cooked throughly.After chicken is cooked, remove from pan and set aside. Add onions to same pan and cook until translucent. Add butter and flour to pan and cook for 1 min. Add chicken broth and deglaze pan. As sauce begins to thicken,add the reserved mushroom liquid and marsala wine. Add 1 tsp sugar (optional). Sauce should be pourable. If not, add additional chicken broth until desired consistency. Set sauce aside..
Arrange chicken into well greased 9x11 baking dish. Place 1oz of ham on top of each piece of chicken. Top ham with 1 oz of Harvardi cheese. Pour Marsala sauce on top of ham/cheese topped chicken making sure each piece has sauce on top of it. Sprinkle with dried parsley and bake for 15 mins until Cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly. Serve with butter sugar rice and broccoli.
