1 1/2 c. Cake Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp.salt
6 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1/2 c.Boiling Water
2 tsp.Vanilla
1 tsp. Lemon Extract

Oven 350 Degrees
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.Set aside. Beat egg yolks together in mixing bowl until very thick and yellow colored. Beat in sugar.Blend in water and flavorings .Then dry ingredients .Pour into a greased and floured pan.9x13 inch or 2 cake layer pans. Large pan 35-45 min. 2 cake pans 25-30 min. It will be done when top springs back when lightly touched. Cool in pans 8-10 min

This recipe was one of my mothers. The original recipe was half this size. she wrote a note in the cook book to double the recipe. This recipe is great in making Strawberry Short cake. Just add Strawberrys and whipping cream or any Berrys or peaches
