1/4 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar {packed}
1 egg
3/4 c. All -purpose Flour
1 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp.vanilla
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions:

Oven 350 Degrees
Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Mix in brown sugar until blended.Cool. Stir in egg.Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Blend in vanilla and walnuts. Spread in greased 8x8 inch square pan. Bake 25 min. Do not overbake! Cut while still warm

Something a little different from regular brownies. Of course this can be made without walnuts. None of my kids wanted walnuts.
