Score the cucumber with the tines of a fork before slicing.

2 cups water
1 cup white water vinegar
granulated low-calorie sweetener with aspartame to equal 6 tsp sugar
2 tsp each: onion flakes + celery seeds
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 medium cukes, cut into 1/8 inch thick slices

Directions:

In 1 quart jar that has a tight fitting cover, combine all ingredients except cukes stirring well to dissolve sweetener and salt.

Add cuke slices to vinegar mixture, cover tightly and refrigerate for 36 hours.

Makes 16 servings.
