12 Egg yolks
1 c Sugar
2 Jiggers Rye Whiskey
1t Vanilla
1pint Whipping Cream
4-5 c Flour



2 cans of Crisco for fryer

Directions:
Directions:
Whip cream until soft peaks. Place egg yolks in mixing bowl and beat until lemon/lighter in color. Gradually add sugar. Fold in Whipped cream. Add Whiskey and Vanilla. Add flour a little at a time. Start with 4 cups. Mix until dough is smooth, similar to texture of pasta dough. (may need up to an extra cup)

Let rest about an hour. Using a pasta machine roll out dough as you would pasta until #6. Cut in rhombus shaped diamonds with a slit in the center. Twist one end through the hole. Heat Crisco in deep fryer. Fry in deep fryer at until golden turning once. Drain on paper towels. Place in cookie tin and dust with powdered sugar.

serve in bowl with more powdered sugar.

Mom's secret is using Segrams 7, rye whiskey.
