1+2 tbsp flour or 2 cups cake flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
cup soft shortening
1 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
4 squares (4 oz) baking chocolate, melted
1 cup nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 2- 9 inch layer or 9x13 pan.
2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
3. Add shortening, then milk and vanilla.
4. Add eggs and chocolate. Beat 2 minutes.
5. Stir in nuts, pour into prepared pans.
6. Bake layers 30-35 minutes or 9x13 pan 35-45 minutes till center is done. Be careful to
not over-bake as it will be dry.
