1¾ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup sugar
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup shortening
½ cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
48 milk chocolate candy kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except candy kisses in large mixer bowl. Mix on lowest speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful. Roll balls in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.Top each cookie with a candy kiss immediately after coming out of the oven. Press down firmly so the cookies crack around the edge.
