½ cup shortening
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¾ cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoon double-acting baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
⅓ cup of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Start heating oven to 350º
Grease and flour entire mold well
In an electric mixer bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy
Beat in eggs one at a time, add vanilla
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, then add alternately with milk beating well
Pour cake batter into half of mold showing lamb's face, level with a spatula
Bake 1 hour or until done
Cool in mold 5 minutes then carefully loosen edges with a spatula
Turn over on rack and finish cooling
