Gayle Laing Grimsrud

1/2 c softened butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 peanut butter (I have used both creamy and with peanuts)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 c oatmeal
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

1 c chocolate chips
1 c powdered sugar
2 Tbsp peanut butter
2 Tbsp milk

Cream 1st 4 ingredients together. Add egg & vanilla, mix well. Add flour, oatmeal, baking soda & salt. Mix. Put in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake @ 350 for 10 - 12 minutes. Top with chocolate chips, put back in the oven to melt. Turn the oven off. Spread the melted chips out. Mix together the powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp peanut butter and milk. It should be thin enough to drizzle over the top of the bars.

Personal Notes:
I get carried away and make too much frosting - but that is the way everyone likes them. Madisyn always asks for these!
