½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1¼ cups flour
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add egg, milk and vanilla.
3. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt. Chill dough.
4. Roll dough no thicker than ¼ inch on floured cloth. Cut with cookie cutters and place on
ungreased cookie sheets.
5. Bake at 425º. Check after 5 minutes. **The baking time will vary due to the thickness of the dough
and the shape of the cookies, so watch carefully.
