3 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 1/2 Cups Milk
1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 Eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease and flour two 9" round cake pans.

In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add milk, butter, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low till combined. Beat on high 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 minutes more. Pour into pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
 

Chocolate Butter Frosting

1/3 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa
4 1/2 Cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
1/4 Cup Milk
1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and cocoa till fluffy. Gradually add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, beating well. Slowly beat in the 1/4 milk and vanilla. Slowly beat in remaining sugar. Beat in additional milk, if needed, to make of spreading consistency. (To make vanilla frosting, omit the cocoa).
