cup creamy peanut butter
cup Crisco shortening
1 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 cups all purpose flour
tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Cream peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until smooth and creamy, 1 minutes. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture gradually, beating at low speed until thoroughly blended. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. If desired, press lightly with tines of floured fork in a criss cross pattern. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until set and beginning to turn brown. Cool slightly then move to cooling rack.
