¾ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup Crisco shortening
1¼ cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1¾ cups all purpose flour
¾ tsp. baking soda
¾ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Cream peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until smooth and creamy, 1½ minutes. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture gradually, beating at low speed until thoroughly blended. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. If desired, press lightly with tines of floured fork in a criss cross pattern. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until set and beginning to turn brown. Cool slightly then move to cooling rack.
