1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1½ tsps. vanilla extract
1½ cups all purpose flour
2 tbsps. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tbsp. buttermilk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place softened butter in a bowl, then stir in sugars and vanilla. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Stir flour mixture into the butter mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk, then stir into flour mixture. Finally add and fold in chocolate chips. On an ungreased cookie sheet use a teaspoon to drop cookie dough about 2 inches apart and bake 8-10 minutes (shorter time will produce a soft, chewy cookie, longer will make a crisp cookie).
