¼ cup butter (melted) or oil
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
¾ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Cream together butter or oil, sugar, vanilla and egg.
3. Mix in dry ingredients and nuts if desired. Spread into 8x8 square pan,
or equivalent size.
4. Bake 25 minutes. Cool, then top with a white glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
