2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter or shortening
3 eggs
1/2 cup cocoa ( in enough boiling water to make thin paste )
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
1 rounded tsp. soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening. Add sugar. Add beaten eggs and the cocoa mixture. Add sour milk with soda and flour . Add vanilla. Bake at 350 F.
