2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 cup flour (add more if necessary to make a thick cream
2 inches oil in large skillet
1 set of wafflet irons

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together.
Heat oil in pan.
Dip iron into hot oil then into batter. Batter should be about half way up the iron. If batter is too high on iron it will not come off into oil to cook.

Cook wafflet until golden brown. Remove from heat and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

My mother gave me a set of irons (shaped like the suits in a deck of cards). I do not know if they can be purchased today.
