1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 16 - ounce can cream style corn
1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
1 cup yellow corn meal
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Mixing well, add eggs, one at a time. Add creamed corn and cheese; mix well. Stir flour and corn meal together with baking powder and salt; add to corn mixture. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured 7 x 13 inch pan. Place pan in preheated 350 oven and immediately reduce to 300. Bake for 1 hour.

This is especially indulgent served warm with butter and honey for breakfast, but it's good cold too, and is an excellent accompaniment for chili.
