Mom's Buttermilk Brownies Recipe

Brownies:
2 c flour
2 c sugar
2 sticks oleo (or butter)
1 c water
4 Tbsp Cocoa (heaping)
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp vanilla

Frosting:
1 1/2 c sugar
6 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp milk
1/2 c chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour and sugar. Boil butter, water and cocoa (use microwave) and pour over the flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes. Add the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour in to 15 x 10 greased and floured pan, Bake 20-25 minutes @ 350º. For the frosting: Bring the 1st 3 ingredients to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and put the pan in cold water. Add the chocolate chips and beat . Spread on bars.
