3 c. sliced fresh peaches
½ c. sugar (“if peaches sweet, try ¼ c.”)
¼ tsp. mace
6 T. butter (“try using first 3 T.”)
¾ c. sugar (“try using first ½ c. sugar”)
1 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Toss peach slices with sugar and mace. Set aside.
Melt the butter in ovenproof rectangular baking dish. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, flour, and baking powder. Stir in the milk. Pour this mixture into the baking dish on top of the butter. Then add the peaches.
Bake for 1 hour. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

I entered all of Mom’s directions in making this cobbler. I thought it was cute that she suggested trying to make it more healthy using less sugar and butter (but don’t forget to serve it warm with ice cream- lol!)
