3 sticks REAL butter
3 heaping cups sugar
3-1/2 cups sifted cake flour
6 eggs
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Mixture should be light and fluffy. Add flour and whipping cream alternately. Add vanilla. Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees (cold oven start) for 1-1/2 hours. Check for doneness before time is up. Ovens vary in temp.
