1 cup oatmeal
1 3/4 cups boiling water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon cocoa
1 package (12 ounces) chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oatmeal and boiling water together. Let stand 10 minutes. Cream butter, brown sugar and sugar together. Beat in eggs and oatmeal mixture. Combine flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Fold in half the chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Place remaining half of chocolate chips and walnuts over top of batter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
