1 lb. dry Navy Beans
1 Ham Bone
1/2 lb. ham (chopped)
1 can diced tomatoes
1 onion (chopped)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
3 cups water
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
hot sauce or hot peppers to taste (optional)

Directions:

soak beans overnight in 6 cups of water.
drain water.
combine all ingredients in a medium kettle.
bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours.
remove and discard ham bone and bay leaf..
