5-7 golden delicious apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice
cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
Dash salt
2 tablespoons butter
Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pie

Directions:
Directions:
Peel apples if desired. Core and slice apples inch thick to equal 7 cups. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt and mix with apples. Put in pastry lined 9" pie pan. Dot with butter. Add top crust, seal and flute edges. Cut vents into top crust. Bake at 400 about 40-50 minutes until crust is browned. Slide sheet of tin foil or a cookie sheet under pie pan to catch juice.
