2 cups sweet potatoes, cooked, mashed
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts, your choice
1 tsp vanilla
4 oz chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together the sweet potatoes and oil. Add eggs and beat until smooth.
Blend in the dry ingredients and mix well. Then add 1 cup chopped nuts and the vanilla.
Remove 1/3 of the mixture and put in a separate bowl. Add 4 oz of chocolate chips to this mixture.
Using an 8" tube pan, angel food cake pan or bundt pan, alternate the batter starting with the plain
and then the chocolate until all of it is in the pan. Cut through the batter with a knife.
Bake at 350º F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
