Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3/4 c apple cider (I always use a kid-sized can of apple juice since I can keep it on hand)
6 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp butter
1 large clove of garlic, crushed (if small cloves, use 2-3)

Directions:
Directions:
Bring cider of juice to boil on high heat. Simmer 3-4 minutes, add butter and garlic. Simmer about 20 minutes until thickened enough to coat a spoon. Cool to room temperature (sometimes I cool in the freezer). Pat salmon dry. Marinate in a large Ziplock bag for no longer than 30-60 minutes, then grill until moist and flaky.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the only marinade we ever use for salmon. Sufficient for 1-2 good sized fillets. Works well on charcoal or gas grill and especially good on a cedar plank. Guest always ask for the recipe.
