"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. water
1 package refrigerated pie crust
6 heaping teaspoons Nutella
6 tsp. strawberry jelly/jam
3 large strawberries sliced lengthwise to look like hearts
coarse or granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

In small bowl, whisk together egg yolk and one teaspoon water. Roll out pie crust until approximately 1/16th of an inch thick. Cut into 2½ x 3½-inch rectangles. You should end up with 12 rectangles.

Take six of the rectangles and cut out a heart in the center (using strawberries cut into hearts as a guide). On each of the six remaining rectangles, spread one heaping teaspoon of Nutella (leaving a border around the edges). Then top Nutella with a layer of strawberry jam (we like less jam, more Nutella). Top with a fresh strawberry heart in the center.

Put the top slice of pie dough on top with the cut out placed over the strawberry. Seal the edges of the pop tart by using the prongs of a fork and pressing all around. Brush with egg mixture and sprinkle heavily with coarse sugar. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.Transfer to a cooling rack for five minutes and enjoy!
