2 + 2/3 cups sifted gold medal flour
2 + 1/2 tsp double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 + 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
3 eggs
1 6-ounce package of semisweet chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Start heating the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease 15 + 1/2" X 10+ 1/2" X 1" pan.

Sift together flour, baking powder + salt.
In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar; Cool for 10 minutes.

Then add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir into the flour mixture, nuts, and chocolate pieces and mix until well blended

Spread into pan
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center springs back when lightly touched.
Cool. Cut into 2" squares.
