Cinnamon Coffee Cake Recipe

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Cream butter, sugar and eggs together. Fold in sour cream and vanilla carefully, then fold in dry ingredients. Spoon half of batter into bundt pan that has been well greased and floured. Mix topping ingredients in small bowl. Cover batter with half of the topping, then the remainder of the batter and then remaining topping. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool almost completely before removing from the pan. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze. Serves 14 to 16.
