3-1/2 c. cooked rice
2 beaten eggs
4 Tbsp. soy sauce
¼ tsp. sweet basil
Tops from 3 green onions, chopped

Directions:
Dice bacon and fry until crisp in skillet. Remove from pan. Fry the rice in the drippings, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Remove rice from pan and add to bacon. Pour eggs into pan and cook slightly about 1 minute. Add the rice and bacon mixture and soy sauce and stir until mixed. Garnish with onion tops. Makes 4-6 servings. This is simple and good for a meal in a hurry. I acquired this recipe while we were living in Okinawa. Fried rice is very popular in the Orient.
