1 c. sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
10 oz maraschino cherries, drained and cut into pieces
4 T butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar to eggs and beat well. Add milk and 2 c flour alternately. Mix baking powder and salt into the other cup of flour and add to mixture. Add butter and cherries and nuts if you like. Bake at 350º for approximately one hour.

This is one of my mother-in-law, Connie's, recipes. If you like you can use the juice from the cherries as part of the liquid instead of all milk.
