Bread Pudding CUSTARD
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
5 Lg Eggs (beaten)
1½ Cup Milk
1½ Cup Heavy Cream
2 Tsp Vanilla Extract (or 1 tsp extract & 1 tsp paste)
3 Cup Challah Bread (cubes) preferably 1 day stale
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Cardamon
1 Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tsp Ginger

Bread Pudding TOPPING
½ Cup Light Brown Sugar
¼ Cup Butter (softened) ½ stick butter
1 Cup Chopped Pecans (optional)

Bread Pudding SAUCE
1 Cup Granulated sugar
½ Cup Butter (melted) !1 stick butter
2 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Egg (beaten)
¼ Cup Brandy

Directions:

PREHEAT OVEN 350º
Grease a 13x9x2 pan.
Mix together the granulated sugar, eggs, milk and spices in a bowl. Add Vanilla and pour over cubed bread and let sit for approximately 15 - 20 minutes.
In another bowl, mix and crumble togeether the brown sugar, butter and pecans.
Pour bread mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the top and bake for 35-45 minutes or until set. Remove from oven.

For SAUCE:
Mix together the granulated sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Still together until the sugar is melted then add the brandy stirring well. Pour over bread pudding. Serve warm or cold.
