½ c. butter
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. dairy sour cream
1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
½ c. chopped candied fruit
½ c. raisins
½ c. chopped nuts

Directions:
In a mixing bowl cream butter, gradually add sugar and continue beating until blended. Beat in egg. Blend in sour cream. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and cloves, gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in candied fruit, raisins and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons, about 2 inches apart, on baking sheet. Top each cookie with a piece of candied cherry. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Remove immediately to wire rack to cool. Yield: 7-8 dozen.
