2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2-1/2 c. flour
¼ Tbsp. soda
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
8 plain Hershey bars, melted
2 Tbsp. water
1 c. buttermilk
½ c. nuts, if desired


Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and eggs and shortening. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla. Add nuts. Bake in tube pan 1 hour at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar while hot.
